What this program is
Fair Fares New York City (NYC) helps eligible residents save 50% on subway fares, eligible bus fares and Access-A-Ride paratransit trips. Subway and bus discounts use a Fair Fares One Metro New York (OMNY) card. Access-A-Ride customers do not use this card for the paratransit discount: it is applied automatically to their Access-A-Ride account.
