EPIC (Elderly Pharmaceutical Insurance Coverage)

A New York State program for seniors, run by the Department of Health, that helps income-eligible people aged 65 and older with out-of-pocket Medicare Part D prescription drug costs. You can apply at any time of the year.

The NYS Department of Health states you must:

• be a New York State resident age 65 or older
• have an annual income below $75,000 if single or $100,000 if married
• be enrolled or eligible to be enrolled in a Medicare Part D plan (no exceptions), and
• not be receiving full Medicaid benefits.

Apply online, or mail/fax the paper application. The state says no documentation is required.
