What this program is
NYC Free Tax Prep is the City's free tax filing program, run by the Department of Consumer and Worker Protection (DCWP). Its official page explains the free filing options and how to find them.
Who can get it
DCWP states: New Yorkers who earned $97,000 or less and file as an individual or married couple with qualifying children and/or dependents, or those who earned $68,000 or less and file as an individual or married couple without qualifying children and/or dependents, are eligible to file through NYC Free Tax Prep.
Heads up
