What this program is
Helps income-eligible households save on energy bills by lowering heating and cooling costs and improving home safety and health. Services are based on an on-site energy audit of what your home needs most.
Who can get it
NYS Homes and Community Renewal states:
- You may qualify if your household income is at or below 60% of the state median income.
- Open to both homeowners and renters.
- Priority is given to seniors, families with children, and people with disabilities.
- If someone in your household receives HEAP or certain other public benefits, you are automatically eligible.
